Orthopaedic Trauma
Fracture care is the foundation for orthopaedic surgery. Surgical stabilization provides bony stability and effectively treats pain. However, knowing when NOT to operate is just as important.

Working with fellowship trained orthopaedic traumatologists (David Teague, M.D. and William Ertl, M.D.) was the central part of my residency. Learning under their supervision at a busy level one trauma center was a demanding experience. The experience gained during my tenure at the University of Oklahoma provides me with the skill set necessary to take care of complicated fractures of the upper and lower extremity.

After my residency, I worked as a sports medicine fellow in Lake Tahoe, CA. In addition to sports medicine, I took care of numerous ski related injuries. Coupling this experience with that gained during my adult reconstruction fellowship has allowed me to be very comfortable with articular and periprosthetic trauma.
